Preaching To The Choir
#1
I wrote this song just the other day, and decided to put a little "old school" Western Swing to it.

Preaching To The Choir

I look forward everyday, to walk to through the church doors,
anticipating what my God will do.
Someone might be saved, another could be healed,
the presence of the Lord can feel anew.

Chorus:

I'm preaching to the choir,
to sing about his glory.
To spread the Love of God,
and tell about his story.
Sing about his amazing grace and how he'll set you free,
I'm preaching to the choir,
to live eternally.

Just think about that rapture day and how he'll come again,
he'll split that eastern sky upon a cloud.
All the dead in Christ will rise, when the graves are opened wide,
and Gabriel, he'll blow that trump aloud.

Repeat chorus twice:

Ronnie,

A lively song for sure.

"Preaching to the choir"; seems like this song is a mockery of some kind. What is your intent?
From death he did rise and will come again.
Move on with him now to be ready for then.

My intent is that we as Christians should shout it from the roof tops if we have to, to tell about Jesus and his amazing grace. The bible says in Matthew, go and preach to all nations.

Cool. My thoughts of "Preaching To The Choir" are to preach to those that already well-know what you are preaching. Therefore, I suggest "from the roof tops" or "to all nations" needs a better description than "to the choir".

Move on with him now to be ready for then.
