I Am Redeemed (scratch recording)
#1
Hey all,
Here's a new worship song. I'm thinking a good one for altar call time.  Let me know what you think. This is just a scratch recording. I am hoping to get my studio up and running in the next 4-6 weeks and can get a great piano player and much, much better singer.

Hi Tony,

I listened to your song multiple times and like it a lot.

One thing not essential but since it is praise and worship, you may want to consider it more of a soulful prayer between the singer and Jesus.  Thinking of that famous altar call....Just as I am..

Keep or sweep.....

Neil

Neil,
Thanks for the listen and comments. I definitely see your point on the perspective. I kind of want to keep it more of an internal view of the singer. I am not happy with the verse yet. I listened to it after sleeping on it and don't like it at all...I like the chorus though. I will post when I get it to my liking.

I like the revised verse lyrics - I think you did a definite upgrade there. After listening twice, I think you may need to fiddle with the timing of some of the words in the verse and maybe a word or two in the chorus as well.

Yo are absolutely right on the timing. I am hoping to get a real singer and piano player for this one.  Thanks for the comments.

Hi Tony,
This revised version is very good! This would make a good worship song in any congregation. Thanks for sharing, God bless!

Wow, Thanks Jordan.  I hope our worship leader feels the same way.

I listened to "I Am Redeemed Mix 3". I really like it! I would personally slow it down a hair or two.
And also, (feel free to ignore this comment if you like) I think the song would benefit from either a line or a tag giving thanks to Jesus- a personal 1-on-1 "Thank You" to your savior. The whole song is saying "I" am redeemed, which is a great declaration, but for an altar song I think you could go to the next level and declare your thanks. Like I said, this isn't an absolute suggestion. A lot of altar call songs don't have this element, but I personally think it would enhance this already great song. Great job!

Noah,
Thanks for the listen and comment. I like your thoughts on that. One of my pet peeves in worship songs is the constant "I, I, I".....it seems that I fell for it myself. I will see what to do about that.
