OK my peeps! Someone asked me to try to block this on the piano so he could hear chord changes. My voice will not cooperate at this time, so I am simply posting a chord chart. I may have to record on the piano & then sing over it, but even then it might not work. This song needs someone with amazing range. Any volunteers?

Hey everybody! This is a re-post. Sarah had made some suggestions to make this song shorter, but in the end, I couldn't part with any of my verses!
Anybody have music (instrumental) ideas?
Hi Shannon,

Any chance you could record this to include block chords on the piano so we can hear where you'd put the chord changes?

I should have a chance to work on it tomorrow! I work with piano, but you may find it a guitar song...Thanks for asking!
Shannon,

You are a good lyricist. You understand how to structure a verse. I have to ask, what venue are you wanting to use this song for? I am a man that has been through many, many difficult things in life. The journey has been brutal. So, I am also a man that wants to hear the flip side of this song in the chorus.. you know what I mean? ..The great ending, the word of God, the fun truth, the encouraging turnaround. Of course, you can take my advice or leave it and I will still think you are wonderful. I just want to challenge a positive outcome in this song. That's why people love to hear tough stories, because it usually has a great ending. Give the listener closure and hope and leave them feeling loved and strengthened.

re-writing a good song makes a great song. re-writing a great song makes a classic.

Hi Terrance!

Thanks! After this is put to music, I would like to send it to a couple of Christian film companies. Now that I think of it, it might even work in secular film! This would probably be in the first half where things are going rough for several people.  The resolution would probably need a copletely different song closer to the end of the film. Very few of my songs are meant for radio. However. .......If you feel this song needs resolution, please feel free to add it as a tag to the end of the song Smile
Shannon
Ok, everyone, I just finished this one. It sound like a completely different song. I had added a tag, but it didn't make it on to the recording. I'm ok with that though, as people can still use the song in different ways, & especially by adding a tag. But it still is not a church song, & film is still my goal.
Here is the only way to get to the song right now. The name has been changed to Walking Away.

I have not yet set a price, so right now it is free to listen & is not yet downloadable.
Thanks everyone,
Shannon
Wow! It's been a little while. So this song is now in the Music Store at ProCollabs.com So it is downloadable, but you can also just listen to it if you go to my profile.
Hey Blake, I see you found me! Smile

finally got a YouTube made for this one Smile Some of the words have been dropped, and it ended up a little more country than the original Smile
Sounds good - I like Raven's voice. A little more country is a good thing given the subject matter.
